David W. Ellis is
the owner of Ellis Automotive LLC, an
automotive technology company
specializing in automobile repair and
restoration. He received his training at
the Universal Technical Institute in
Lisle, Illinois, where he graduated from
the one-year Automotive Technology
Program. Prior to that, David had a
successful career as an international
lawyer with one of the largest law firms
in the world. His area of specialty was
employment and employee benefits. David
has a B.A. from Amherst College and a
J.D. from Boston College Law School.
When he is not working on cars, David
volunteers with TechForce Foundation, a
not-for-profit organization that
provides scholarships, grants and other
assistance to aspiring technicians who
want to attend trade school and seek
employment in the transportation
industry.

About the
Cigar Society of Chicago
ONE OF THE OLDEST
AND greatest traditions of the
city clubs of Chicago is the
discussion of intellectual,
social, legal, artistic,
historical, scientific, musical,
theatrical, and philosophical
issues in the company of educated,
bright, and appropriately
provocative individuals, all under
the beneficent influence of
substantial amounts of tobacco and
spirits. The Cigar
Society of Chicago
embraces this tradition and
extends it with its Informal
Smokers, University
Series lectures, and Cigar
Society Dinners, in which
cigars, and from time to time
pipes and cigarettes, appear as an
important component of our version
of the classical symposium.
