The war on terror has taken a leap forward into cyber-detection, eavesdropping, cell-phone mapping, and forensics.  This coming Tuesday, on the eve of September 11th, Lee Neubecker will explain what "computer forensics" is all about, and tell how his company assisted law-enforcement officers in identifying and tracking the Tsarnaev brothers after the Boston Marathon bombing.

Lee Neubecker is president and CEO of Forensicon, a Chicago-based computer-forensics consulting firm that specializes in investigations involving white-collar crime, online identity tracking, and the investigation of misappropriation of trade secrets. Lee's firm was the expert of record for the largest jury verdict ever awarded in Wisconsin State Court ($147M).  Lee has a bachelor's degree in business finance from Eastern Michigan University and a master's in business administration from Babson College. Lee previously managed online communities for Lycos, where he led the company’s response to discovery requests from regulatory agencies such as the SEC and other law enforcement agencies.  Lee is a member of the Illinois Academy of Criminology, the U.S. Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Union League Club of Chicago, and, significantly, the Cigar Society of Chicago.  He lives in River Forest with his husband, David, and their two children, Braiden (10) and Michael (9).
