Cafe asks that our group pay in a single check, gratuity

On nice Tuesdays this summer the Cigar Society of Chicago
will meet outdoors in the dramatic courtyard at the Chicago Board
of Trade Building, 141 West Jackson, east of the building,
toward the back. (Look for the panama hats.) The
Ceres Cafe, home of Jack Bolling's "Big Drink," serves cocktails
and food in the courtyard until 7:30. Jack Schwartz Cigars,
also in the Board of Trade Building,
is open until 5:00.
Drinks Prices, including tax (11.5%) and
tip (20%). (Other drinks and snacks
are available as well.)

About
the Cigar Society of Chicago
ONE OF THE OLDEST AND greatest
traditions of the city clubs of Chicago is the discussion of
intellectual, social, legal, artistic, historical, scientific,
musical, theatrical, and philosophical issues in the company of
educated, bright, and appropriately provocative individuals, all
under the beneficent influence of substantial amounts of tobacco
and spirits. The
Cigar Society of Chicago embraces this tradition and
extends it with its Informal Smokers,
University Series lectures, and Cigar Society Dinners,
in which cigars, and from time to time pipes and cigarettes,
appear as an important component of our version of the classical
