cigar club DINNER next FRIDAY, October 14th at U Club
Gentlemen:
After several successful Tuesday night sessions at the
Tower Club, we have planned a Cigar Club Dinner for
next Friday, October 14th, at the University Club.
All University Club members are invited, and guests are
welcome. Cocktails and cigars in Room D at 5:30,
followed by dinner and cigars in the adjoining Room C
(the Board Room) at 6:30, followed by cigars. The
four-course dinner will emphasize prime beef and
traditional fare manly enough to stand up to the three
Cameroon wrapped cigars provided:
Perdomo Estate Seleccion Vintage 1991 Maestro
Don Thomas Cameroon Perfecto #4
Arturo Fuente Cuban Corona
If you are interested, please RSVP to me, your loyal
secretary, at curtis.tuckey@oracle.com, as soon as you
can. Notice is somewhat short, and we need at least a
dozen people to make a go of it in the Board Room.
Cigar Club members $95 (including cocktails, cigars);
nonmembers $105 . Jacket and tie required.
Your loyal secretary,
Curtis "The Beefeater" Tuckey
P.S. For those of you with a streak of the debonaire,
October 14th is the birthday of the man who played
James Bond in the movies more times than Sean Connery,
and who played Simon Templar in the Saint on TV. Sir
Roger was knighted in 2003. Mrs. W. officially said
the knighthood was for his charity work, but we suspect
that Moore was always her favorite British spy --
certainly in comparison with her cousin, (Sir) Anthony
Blunt, whom she knighted in 1956 and then de-knighted
in 1979 after he was exposed as a counterspy by Mrs. T.
